Football kits continue their run of interpolating all levels of streetwear. Near the top, there’s Stussy—or as my friends in college would call it—”Supreme for kids who have better things to spend their money on and less time to wait on lines.” As you’d expect from the classic streetwear brand, their latest Team Stussy long-sleeve jersey takes its cues from rec league kits of bumblebee football’s finest clubs. The cut is for the modern fitted man, but everything else is explicitly not. Diagonal diamonds pattern the shirt, and a spread 90s-style sports collar mixes some stripes in there. Blending patterns is usually a lame look, but here, it’s subtle and clean enough to be finessed. A customized Stussy badge, crest, and sponsorship print turns the shirt into a proper football kit, and at first glance, you’d think that these new USMNT kits are chill.
For football fans and haters-who-just-like-the-jerseys alike.
