It’s easy to get bogged down by the hundreds of sneakers and boots that are churned out every year by the world’s biggest brands. Companies claim their designs are innovative or groundbreaking, and while that can be true, it’s rare that a new shoe or technology actually ends up on our feet.
PUMA NETFIT Technology could change that. NETFIT is a customizable lacing system that PUMA released on a few of its most popular shoe styles. With NETFIT, a shoe’s upper is entirely made of, or supported by, an engineered meshing that stretches and forms to the wearer’s foot based on a desired lacing preference. NETFIT basically turns your shoe into a blank canvas, and will allow PUMA’s shoes to accommodate anybody, whether they have wide or narrow feet, seek stability, heel support, or want one shoe that can do it all.
So far, PUMA has only released a pair of indoor boots with NETFIT technology. We’ll be watching to see if they expand to the world of grass and turf.
