Italian graphic designer Federico Maccapani, better known as mbroidered on Instagram, has reached God Level. His cache of previous designs, including a Versace Inter Milan kit and a Saint Laurent PSG kit — all splashed and lined with 3M — are closer to what we wish actual football apparel companies would do with their kits.
Maccapani steals — or really, claims fair use to — classic streetwear and high-end design patterns and logos. A cursory infinite scroll through his Instagram page reveals photos and drawings of Jordans, Flyknits, all-red sneakers — you know, the good shit.
Like I said, this is God Level business. I’d totally wear both of these kits with pride and a FUCK YOU sense of sartorial duty. The 3M Horus badge and hieroglyphics sponsorship on the Nike Yeezy kit are clear homages to the Yeezy II, and in the perfectionist, detailed-oriented spirit of Kanye, Maccapani has additional hieroglyphics cut into the kit’s numbering.
First pick of the two would have to go to the adidas BOOST YZY kit, if only because Kanye is currently at adidas. IDK, it makes the kit more current, or whatever. The three stripes branding on the sleeves are, again, another example of Maccapani’s unique touch.
Keep your eyes peeled to his Instagram page for the latest on these custom 1/1 kits.
