Ouigi Theodore, the founder of The Brooklyn Circus and a Haitian immigrant to the U.S., is using his background in fashion and love for the beautiful game to support a worthy cause. The Brooklyn resident is a longtime partner with Haitian artists who assist Ouigi’s mission to promote Haitian culture through his fashion label. In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, The Brooklyn Circus released a set of made-in-Haiti soccer jerseys. All proceeds from the jerseys will go back to the Haitian artists who designed them.
